Interesting, that YT dicided to present this to me a year later. However, I would love to aks the animators if any mocap was generated/used from the stand-in monster actors. I would asume, they were only used as reference on set, to get the camera motion and timing right and all animation we see is true craft and talent of the animators! Well done!

Wow, and they had the balls to call this movie live action.
Marvel's indecisiveness kills me- why did they change the inside out suit? I prefer the look of the original, but instead they decided to digitally replace the entire suit in every shot it appears in. Not an artist problem, the work is incredible, but it just shows some baffling decision making and a clear lack of planning.

Amazing. Why does Mufasa trailer look so crappy? Even when viewed using the Apple Trailer's website, it looks like low-quality CGI work. Were you guys paid 1/4th the money?

Looking at the movie the CGI looks great but look back on the 2007 film and realising how old it is. It makes this film look a whole look worse considering it is beat by a 15 year old film.
They animated the dinosaurs with Autodesk Maya and rendered them with Pixar's Renderman. I would like to try them.

Wish they had gotte a studio more experienced in robotic animations. But for what it's worth, it could have been worse. But for some reason Optimus consistently looked and moved awkward. You'd think the boxiest character would be the simpler one to animate.

It is always impressive to me that multiple different studios have tackled Transformers movies - Industrial Light & Magic, Blur Studios, Roadeo FX, MPC - and they all look consistent and they all look AMAZING. Sure, the designs of the Transformers evolved (and improved!) from the last Michael Bay movie to Bumblebee and then Rise of the Beast, but the actual quality and fidelity is mind-blowing throughout. Fantastic work to each and every single artist who touched these movies. It's always freakin' incredible to see!

what's the actual use of postvis?
Great question! Post-visualization is an important part of most major VFX films these days when you need to help construct a logical visual story immediately following the shoot, and well before you get your first round of turn overs from your VFX team. There's a pretty large gap in time there and postvis is useful in being able to construct quick temps in order to help inform not only the VFX teams as to the Director's vision but also the many screenings that take place during post-production. Imagine having to caveat every viewing of your film that has an ocean of green screens in it with "Just pretend if this was here!" It's an informative and nimble tool to help all departments quickly understand the visual narrative of the film. If previs is the rough draft of your film, then postvis is the final draft. This data is then turned over to our friends in MPC layout and now they have a very clear idea of the creative intent of each shot and sequence. Thanks for asking!

All these great VFX are for backdrop only. The only reason the movie happens in space is to make the lead character as well as his wife left on earth the loneliest beings in the universe. Unfortunately, it attracted sci-fi fans into watching a marriage drama that has nothing to do with space.
Worst space movie ever and vfx were only used to convince the story that he is in space noting creative or unique,
